***Due to recent changes in Immigration regulations, the process for application and gathering the appropriate documents for E-2 visas is much longer than in the past.  It is recommended that the request for Certificates of No Criminal History by local police departments be started immediately for candidates wishing to come as much as 2-3 months away.  In some cases, the Certificates can be secured earlier than later, but in some cases, the process takes as long as 6-12 weeks.

CDI Busan currently runs 8 Academies (6 CDI and 2 April English) which are growing to an additional stand alone April English Academy and 4 more integrated English Academies.  On top of that, we are also responding to soon-to-be President Lee, Myung Bak’s English initiatives and creating 3 high level International School Prep Departments.  So, in short, our needs have grown significantly very recently.  Due to it, we really need several CDI ESL Teachers.  We’ve already hired all the April English ESL instructors we need, but due to internal transfers into the International School Prep Depts, we have an immediate need for CDI ESL Instructors here in Busan, Korea.

We were able to wrestle away an example of the Apostille stamp notarization for the new regulations here in Korea from the Immigration department. We’ve “white’d out” the name of the candidate for their privacy, but you can now see an example of what the documents look like for future candidates coming to Korea or people needing to renew after the 15th. It doesn’t look as painful as it may have originally seemed, but it is a bit extra effort.
